I'm sitting here, drinking a glass of wine & cleaning out one of my e-mail accounts. Due to the time of the year, I've been getting a lot of e-mail lately regarding inexpensive homemade holiday gifts, holiday recipes, etc. I'm downloading the ideas to floppy disk & then deleting them out of my mail, giving me lots of free space. :)

This might not seem like a big deal, but I'm forever having problems with bouncing e-mail. I never want to delete anything that I might want to refer to later. I don't know why it never occurred to me to save stuff to disk.

Then again, I might be just a tad tipsy & wouldn't give this a second thought if I were sober.

One of the managers at work named is Mike Crabtree.
There is also a professional skateboarder named Mike Crabtree.
I never put 2+2 together until last night. It's the same guy!

It's funny who you can run into at Trader Joe's.

1- THERE'S A TREE DOWN RIGHT NEXT TO OUR APARTMENT!!! EEK!

2- Nexus was on his way to take the test for a job (airport security baggage inspector) when the testing people called to say that the power was out in the building today, so all of the tests will be rescheduled.

3- Munchkin wants to go to the park, but it's pouring. She's now sitting at the kitchen table, rolling out bubblegum pink Play-Doh with her little plastic rolling pin and putting it in her little plastic bundt pans. I wish I could find her little pastry wheel.

I think I'll make some chili in the crockpot.

My crockpot was too small for the chili recipe! I'm using an altered version of the Wendy's chili clone recipe (with Yves Veggie Ground Round, a can of black beans substituted for part of the pintos, celery salt substituted for part of the salt and all of the chopped celery, a can of diced tomatoes & green chilies substituted for the green chilies & part of the chopped tomatoes).

It's supposed to make 12 servings, but apparently they had bigger servings in mind than I did. I had to drag out the big stockpot. It's also a lot more watery than I would have expected, but it's supposed to simmer for 3 hours... maybe some of that will cook away.

I've got some shredded cheese, tortilla chips, and sour cream to serve with it later.

I'm looking for a sweatshirt/t-shirt from the Baltimore Polytechnic Institute, preferably one of the shirts with nothing but the word POLY emblazoned across the chest. I'd get one from an online store, but they don't seem to sell their stuff online.

Can anyone help me out?
