slaving away

I'm making homemade spaghetti sauce today. I haven't made any from scratch in a few years, and had some meats and veggies that I wanted to use up, so sauce seemed like a good idea.

I hope it's good. I've been working on it for hours. It's made with garlic, onion, fresh basil, olive oil, fresh tomatoes, tomato paste, tomato puree, 1 can of whole tomatoes, bay leaves, red wine, charbroiled chicken legs, cooked pork steak, and linguicia.

Must keep stirring, don't want the sauce to stick and burn!

argh.

Last night, I came up with this really great mathematics equation (and I'm not a math person!) for poly relationships that I think actually works.

The trouble is, I can't completely remember how it went. I may have to map this one out again.

spiritually frustrated

Didn't go to kirtan tonight. I'm a little disenchanted with the place where we've been going to for it. For one, they seem to mostly do their chants in English instead of Sanskrit. Also, they seem to be a Christian church with some Hindu flavor... not quite what I was looking for. They don't do the call-and-response kind either; it's more like a sing-a-long.

Plus they do it way too freaking slow! Kinda hard to build energy if you're all pokey & such. The whole thing kinda reminds me of a bunch of people sitting around and singing "Kum Ba Yah".

*sigh*

So where am I going to find a satsang around here?
