A show ("Mugshots") featuring the Tom Green family is on Court TV at the moment. I'm taping it for
ldyicefire and Nexus to watch later.
Regardless of my personal opinions of Mr Green himself, I'm watching it, hoping to get a better understanding of his family. His wives honestly seem happy... they may be sheltered, but does being sheltered mean that you can't be happy? Are the lives of his children happier now that their father has been imprisoned?
I wonder what kinds of amazing organizational skills his wives must have, running a household that large. How do they manage a budget? (Even if they were on welfare & receiving food stamps, they still would have to budget those food stamps and learn how to conserve energy, water, and other resources.) Their home looked reasonably clean... how on EARTH did they manage that with TWENTY-NINE CHILDREN??? How did they keep up with the laundry?? How many bathrooms did they have? How much toilet paper did they go through in a month?
I'd like to know about their shopping skills & what brands they think are the best value. I'd like to know how they handle dishwashing, or with that many to deal with, if it was better to use paper plates. Do they use cloth or disposable diapers? How do they keep track of what's in their pantry? I'll bet they're experts at food storage.
I'm sure the world could learn a lot from the Green women.
