conversation gone awry
Jun. 19th, 2002 12:03 pmThis morning over mangos and canteloupe,
ldyicefire and I were discussing a creation myth and its connection to fairies. Somehow we got to the subject of some fairies who would switch babies with one of their own, and she mentioned that it wasn't always the bad fairies who did the switching, but sometimes the Light Court did it too.
Me: What happened to their code of ethics and morality?
ldyicefire: It's a fine line sometimes.
And then somewhere my brain went awry.
Me: What on earth makes that ethical? *stage whisper* We've secretly replaced the baby with Folger's Crystals. Let's see if she notices. "Oh no! I went to change the baby, and he's turned into a dry brown powder! However, he DOES make a tasty beverage."
Obviously I need more sleep.
