I have a peanut allergy. I've had it for years, and I've known this. However, I haven't always been allergic to them, and I miss them. I'm actually allergic to most nuts, but the way I react to peanuts is very different than how I react to something like pecans. With peanuts, I have some intestinal distress & my lips puff up, and with pecans, my mouth burns and my throat swells up & I have difficulty breathing.
There's a jar of dry roasted peanuts in the cabinet (for everyone else but me), and for some reason I got the idea about 1/2 an hour ago to see if I was still allergic to peanuts by eating 5 of them.
About 5 minutes after eating them, I had Angelina Jolie lips. Who needs collagen injections when you have peanuts? *thwaps own forehead*
I'm now waiting for the Benedryl to take effect &
ldyicefire is laughing at me for even attempting the experiment.
DOH!
