Today at physical therapy, I wasn't hooked up to the TENS unit for a change. Instead, I had to place my arm in a tank of water while the aide put a contact patch on my back & dropped some electrodes into the water & switched on some machine in a briefcase.
It didn't hurt, just felt like the tank was full of pins & needles. Or electric eels.
I'm not sure how long I was left like that, since the aide forgot to set the timer. Just as I was starting to feel like my head was full of those same electric eels & the spot on my back was starting to buzz, another aide flew over in (what looked like to me) a panic & turned the thing off & shooed me out the door.
Weird. It took a while for the buzziness to wear off. I hope nothing got screwed up.
