[livejournal.com profile] ldyicefire, the Munchkin and I were browsing in a metaphysical bookstore today. Lots of interesting stuff, lots of stuff we plan to go back & buy someday, and several things that were just too expensive to even think about getting, but still cool to look at.

A rather weird incident happened while we were there... I walked past a customer who was chatting with the guy at the register, and the customer suddenly stopped mid-sentence, turned to me & said, "Honey, what's got you so worried about money??"

Bwah??

He continued: "Something's going on in your life that's got you all worried about money, and when you walked by, it HURT! I can feel it right here," and made a circular motion around his back. Still a little bewildered, I told him that someone in our household was out of work. He said I needed to relax, that the problem would work itself out. I thanked him, and wandered away, wondering if this guy was a kook that just happened to hit on the right thing (who doesn't worry about money?), or if he really knew something.

A few minutes later we passed by him again & he apologized for surprising me like that, he was just overwhelmed by how much worry he was sensing from me & had to say something. He also said that by the end of July, the problem should end... that a job will be found.

Could this guy be for real? Is there light at the end of the tunnel? Or was he just spouting out stuff randomly? Either way, it was one of the most bizarre incidents that I've ever experienced.
