this isn't quite the vacation I had in mind

The good news: I get a week off from work!

The bad news: The reason why I have to take a week off of work is because my doctor thinks I have mono, and I can't come back to work until we know for sure (it takes a week for the results to come back from the lab).

So I've got some time off, but I can't even enjoy it. :(

I don't remember when I've felt so miserable

The left side of my stomach is swollen and tender.
The right side of my neck is swollen, distended, and very, very painful.
I can barely swallow water.
When I wake up, there's a puddle of drool under my cheek because I can't swallow my own saliva in my sleep.
And then there's the constant headache and mild fever.

If this isn't mono, it's a damn good mimick.
