ow, ow, and more ow

I'm not sure what the hell I did to my back this morning, but I can't lift my arms above my head or turn my head very much (or at least not without a lot of pain). If it wasn't so close to the time I needed to be in, I'd call work & tell them there is no way I can function there today. I still might call anyway.

I called work. There was just no way I was going to be able to do anything there today at all. No working at the register, not even passing out little cups of popcorn at the demo table, and definitely not lifting boxes of canned garbanzo beans.

I get to see the doctor at 2:00, and it's been an agonizing wait. Earlier I was mildly worried that the back spasms would have eased up before then (seems like a strange worry, doesn't it?) & I'd be going to the doctor for no reason, but I don't think that's going to be the case. I hope this gets fixed soon.

I'm back from the doctor's office.
He gave me some Flexeril and has called in a prescription for Tylenol with codeine for me.

I go ni-ni now.

still hurting, but at least I can move

I can turn my head a good bit more now, but I still have to be careful. I really hope I'm a lot better by Sunday, or work is going to be hell. I have a feeling that I'm going to be spending a good portion of the weekend in a Flexeril & codeine induced haze.
