highlights of the show
Dec. 18th, 2002 02:17 amAnyone who doesn't know that I went to the Peter Gabriel show this past weekend is blind & living in a cave. :)
If I were to describe all of the cool things I saw, this entry would be waaaaaaaaaay too long & you would be tired of reading. A few of the best:
Peter Gabriel himself introduced each of his opening acts. You don't see that often.
The huge inflated plastic bubble that Peter put himself inside (it reminded me of a big hamster ball), and then bounced and rolled all over the circular stage.
Peter riding a bicycle on the stage during "Solsbury Hill".
The lit lightbulb studded jacket he wore during "Sledgehammer" (remember the one from the end of the video?).
a powerful performance of "Signal To Noise", a song from his new album, featuring vocals by the late Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.
sitting next to
ldyicefire while Peter & friends sang "In Your Eyes"... I was literally moved to tears.
