At the moment, not counting a 20 minute or less nap, I've been awake since Monday morning at 9am, and I don't think I got too much sleep before that. :(
Oh, I'm quite tired. Tired to the point that my eye sockets ache and my muscles burn, but my body is having a hell of a time shutting down for some reason. As a last resort tonight, I'm trying my rarely-used-but-somewhat-effective remedy of Kahlua and milk. At least it doesn't make me as weird and groggy when I wake up, like kava, nor does it screw up my REM sleep in the way that melatonin does.
One of these days, I really need to make an appointment with my doctor about my insomnia. I don't want to make a habit of using alcohol as a sleep aid.
