She woke up reeeeeeeeeally early. Before-the-sun-was-up early. I decided to kill two birds with one stone & get some quality time & see if I could get her back to sleep too. She didn't fall asleep, but I think the book reading was still a good idea.

• buy new shoes for Munchkin (Ok, I really, really tried to do this one. We went to 2 different shoe stores & couldn't find anything appropriate that fit her foot. Apparently some shoe manufacturers think that high heels & platforms are suitable for a child's size 10 1/2. Nexus is going to take her to a good shoe store that does fittings for children's shoes tomorrow.)

I guess it's not a total wash of a day. I got some stuff done.
Gotta pack my lunch and get some sleep. First day of work tomorrow morning.
