"In the beginning..."

Ah, my 1st journal entry... what to say?

Went to a poly families picnic this afternoon, which seems to have wiped me out a bit. Right now I'm pondering either sleep or a good book, or maybe a mediocre book AND sleep.

I've been feeling a bit dried out lately, so I've got my new rainbow sports bottle (a freebie from the San Jose Pride Festival!) filled with ice water & some saline nasal spray on the night stand. As soon as I figure out what I'm reading, I'm off to bed. G'night!

frenzied felines

We have a new kitten. His name is Bobby.
Our current cat, Samantha, is less than pleased about this. They've had a couple of show-downs, but haven't come to blows so far. Bobby is giving Samantha a wide berth.

We should have named him blur, since that's about all we can see of him when he's playing. He *really* gets into his play.

One injury so far: my finger. I made the mistake of tossing him a catnip mouse & ended up bloodied.
