Operation Laundry Detergent begins early

spiderdustI got into a manic stage tonight & ended up making the laundry detergent tonight. That recipe makes a LOT! It looks like it's gelling up nicely... tomorrow we'll see how it turns out. I need to get to Smart & Final soon for some stuff, so I'll pick up a few lidded buckets for the detergent.
I've used this stuff before, but the person I was living with made it then & it turned out kinda watery. It still worked pretty well, even watery, so I'm really interested in seeing how well this stuff cleans the clothes.
Is it silly that I care so much about this? Every penny counts, and it will save me some money, but not all that much right away. But I still feel proud of myself for being able to do it.
