It's too hot to sleep.
Maybe that's the root of all of my battles with insomnia: trying to sleep in uncomfortable surroundings. Too hot, too cold, too crowded, too alone, too noisy, too early, too late, too something.
Whatever the cause may be, I still have to go to work in the morning, and at this rate, I'll be going to work exhausted.
I used to think that I was one of those people who only needed 4 hours of sleep. Truth was, I was only getting 4 hours of sleep & functioning, but I wasn't functioning very well.
I miss these dark quiet hours, hours spent with no one but myself. Time to think, time to write, time to waste. I don't get many of them anymore, at least not without consequenses.
Tick tock, tick tock.
