  • put flyers for the show around town
  • picked up a few CDs (I'll list those in another post later)
  • FINALLY registered for my class! (paid for it too!)
  • purchased parking pass for school
  • picked up paperwork for Disabled Student Program (which reminds me, I need to make an appointment with my doctor)
  • bought some fabric and notions
  • spiderdust: (bedtime)
I just made a HUGE dent in the paperwork that's been sitting around (mail that arrived while we were gone, stuff I never managed to get to before we left, etc.), but it still doesn't feel as if I accomplished very much. Still, I've thrown away a whole sackful of junk mail and filed the important stuff. Even got the papers that had fallen underneath the desk and the printer rack.

I need to tackle the CDs soon. Need to return CDs that I've borrowed from friends, and need to re-sort the house CDs and the DJing CDs.

  • call Xcentricities to check on the status of the spiderweb corset and the corset dress (left voicemail, need to follow up on it tomorrow) spoke to corset maker, need to call back tonight for payment
  • make appointment at the college for my placement test/s
  • pick up paycheck/s from work
  • deposit check/s
  • go to YMCA
  • pick up a few groceries
  • call Sippel House about playdate with [livejournal.com profile] the_munchkin
  • eat lunch

I'm sure there's more, but that's probably all I can manage.

([livejournal.com profile] perlandria, [livejournal.com profile] cydniey, [livejournal.com profile] ag_unicorn, [livejournal.com profile] brightbluestuff, and [livejournal.com profile] irisbleu should all get the reference in my entry title. ;-) Maybe [livejournal.com profile] snarkybleu will too.)

  • 7:30am: Alarm clock goes off.
  • 7:39am: Alarm goes off again.
  • 7:48am: Alarm goes off again. Still in too much pain to get up.
  • 7:57am: Alarm goes off again. Drag self out of bed.
  • 8:06am: From the bathroom, hear the alarm clock again. Realize that I only hit snooze when I got out of bed, and didn't actually shut it off. Tell [livejournal.com profile] the_munchkin to turn it off.
  • 8:15am: Alarm clock goes off again. Remember [livejournal.com profile] the_munchkin doesn't know how to turn it off, only how to hit snooze. Turn it off.
  • 8:34am: Finally in the car. Head to doctor's office.
  • 8:57am: Call doctor's office to let them know that I'll be late for my 9am appointment since we've been stuck behind a 6-car accident for several minutes. (No one seemed to be hurt, luckily.)
  • 9:12am: Arrive at doctor's office.
  • 9:50am: Leave doctor's office. Realize that it's too early to pick up my paycheck from work, decide to kill time at the library.
  • 11:00am: Leave library, pick up check from work.
  • 11:15am: Deposit check, pick up new prescription from pharmacy, get stuff for lunch.
  • 12:30pm: Arrive home, eat lunch, make sun tea, check some e-mail.
  • 1:35pm: Get back in car, drive over to Costco to get gas for car.
  • 1:40pm: Arrive at Costco.
  • 2:03pm: Fill tank after waiting in long line, head to The Gaslight Emporium in Alameda to find things for [livejournal.com profile] the_munchkin's birthday party.
  • 2:47pm: Arrive at Gaslight Emporium.
  • 4:05pm: Leave Gaslight Emporium without the things we had hoped to find, but with lots of other stuff.
  • 4:10pm: Take [livejournal.com profile] the_munchkin to Starbucks to use the bathroom. Call Ghost to see how dinner with the Mayor of Crazytown went.
  • 4:15pm: Get lost trying to find the highway. End up in a bad part of Oakland.
  • 4:30pm: Find highway. Head towards home. Leave wacky message on [livejournal.com profile] nexushoratio's voicemail.
  • 4:45pm: See Old Navy outlet store. Turn around.
  • 5:32pm: Leave Old Navy outlet, $66.17 poorer.
  • 5:33pm: Browse Bath & Body Works store next door. Realize they are having a major sale.
  • 5:53pm: Leave Bath & Body Works $40.91 poorer, but with stuff we'll actually use over the next year.
  • 7:01pm: Arrive at Google.
  • 7:25pm: Leave Google with [livejournal.com profile] nexushoratio, head over to Castro St. in Mountain View to get dinner.
  • 9:07pm: Drop [livejournal.com profile] nexushoratio back off at Google, head home. Talk to [livejournal.com profile] mystchief for a few minutes.
  • 9:30pm: Arrive home. Get [livejournal.com profile] the_munchkin ready for bed.
  • 9:50pm: Collapse in chair. Start writing LJ post about today.

  • Long day.

    Go to gym at 5:30am.
Workout. Shower. Come home. Possibly sleep a little more (not likely).

Go to doctor, get refills on prescriptions, talk to him about bubbling chest and fibro stuff.
    Possibly get poked and prodded.

    Go to pharmacy, refill prescriptions.

Pick up [livejournal.com profile] brightbluestuff from airport.
Let her sleep and/or shower, help her run any errands. Feed her at some point.

Take [livejournal.com profile] brightbluestuff to a different airport 7 hours later.
Put her on plane. Wave bye-bye.

    Come home.
    Collapse.

Tonight after dinner, Nexus, the Munchkin, [livejournal.com profile] ldyicefire and I went to a tea shop that specializes in bubble tea and other tea drinks. Bubble tea and pearl tea freak me out. It looks like you're sucking caviar up through a straw in your tea. I opted for a mango smoothie while the Munchkin got a strawberry milk tea, Nexus got a green apple tea (it tasted a bit perfumey to me) and [livejournal.com profile] ldyicefire got a mango tea, sans bubble.

Afterwards we walked up Castro Street and wandered into Books Inc. and browsed for a while. Ended up buying quite a few books (clearanced books are a great thing).

I think now it's time for popcorn and some taped episodes of Iron Chef that we haven't seen yet.

    • do OAMC (I got half of it done at least... I'll try to do the rest tomorrow night if I can)

    • do laundry (DONE)

    • clean out fridge *groans* (nope, didn't get to this at all)

    • rotate planner (I'll have to do this tomorrow night)

    • dye hair (the color didn't quite turn out how I expected. I'll have to experiment with it again in a month)

    • transfer e-mail onto my computer via OE (so I don't have bouncing e-mail later on) (doing this right now)

    • if there's time *ha ha ha!*, can the spaghetti sauce ("ha ha ha!" is right. I didn't have time.)

    • go over lower case letters with Munchkin (I didn't do this, but I did spend some good quality time with her and read stories and such... so I guess I can excuse myself)

    • buy new shoes for Munchkin (Ok, I really, really tried to do this one. We went to 2 different shoe stores & couldn't find anything appropriate that fit her foot. Apparently some shoe manufacturers think that high heels & platforms are suitable for a child's size 10 1/2. Nexus is going to take her to a good shoe store that does fittings for children's shoes tomorrow.)

I guess it's not a total wash of a day. I got some stuff done.
Gotta pack my lunch and get some sleep. First day of work tomorrow morning.

    I know I'm forgetting something...

Since I was still lying awake in bed at 6am, watching the room get lighter and lighter, I decided to get up. At 1st I thought that I'd get an early & industrious start to my day, but my body seems to have other plans. *grump* As soon as I came into the living room, I started getting that someone-is-squeezing-my-chest feeling that I've been having lately, and had to sit down.

(And before anyone panics: no, I'm not having a heart attack. I think it's stress related & it usually passes fairly soon. Kinda bothersome though.)

I imagine the Munchkin will be up soon. I'll have to make her a nice breakfast. Maybe I'll take her for a walk later & then we can both take a nap this afternoon. Yeah... that sounds nice. I wonder if it will work? Young children have a way of altering plans. ;)

    -=I slept for 15 hours.

-=I can't find the Munchkin's CD; I think it must still be in the car from the Modesto road trip.

-=Yesterday we went to Happy Hollow. Munchkin was very excited about riding what she calls the Dragon Rollercoaster again, even though she burst into tears when the dragon loaded up with people & drove off, leaving us still waiting in line. (It's a very popular ride).

-=I get so pissed when a 83% of a song downloads, and then suddenly the person with the file disconnects. ARGH!!!

-=Tonight on Unwrapped: Minty Treats and Peanut Butter.

-=Yesterday at the petting zoo area, a dwarf zebu tried to eat Munchkin's hair. She escaped unharmed, and hair still attached.
This is what zebus look like. )

-=I'm drinking a Glaceau strawberry-banana Fruit Water. It would be a little better if the banana didn't taste so artificial. They've got a website, but it doesn't show the product I'm drinking. They make Smart Water too, but that's not shown on the website either.

-=[livejournal.com profile] kentuckykid is giving me tips on cooking tater tots. I shouldn't be eating them at all, but I may still try his method sometime soon.

-=Both of the cats are sleeping. does that mean they'll be raising hell later tonight?
