and why am I up at this hour?

I'm doing a thorough disk scan on my computer so I can defrag it.

I started the disk scan over 2 hours ago.
It's only on cluster 1,615,617 out of 2,083,573.
I didn't know it was going to take quite this long.

I had planned to run the scan, then start the defragging process & go to bed, thinking it would run while I slept & be finished in the morning.
Apparently I didn't have realistic expectations.

*grumble*

(No, I'm not using my computer while it's scanning; that would be silly. I'm using the Munchkin's computer.)
