List 6 of your favorite songs of the moment in your own lj and then tag 6 others
to do the same.

(Hmm... gotta narrow it down to six songs, eh? I'll see what I can do.)

In no particular order:

1. "Alpha Omega" by Project Pitchfork (or is it "We Are One (Mirror Split Up Into Pieces)"? Such a tough call!)
2. "Pax Psychosis" by Grendel
3. "Hurt" by [:SITD:]
4. "Die Offenbarung" by Heimataerde
5. "Certainty" by Mind.In.A.Box (although "Lament for Lost Dreams" comes reeally close)
6. "Illicit Dreams" by Noise Unit

I tag [livejournal.com profile] the_ogre, [livejournal.com profile] iceblink, [livejournal.com profile] mystchief, [livejournal.com profile] papahood, [livejournal.com profile] rmjwell, and [livejournal.com profile] mamarose!

Just bought 2 tiny VNV Nation t-shirts for [livejournal.com profile] the_munchkin and her friend to wear to the concert at the end of the month.

Yes, we're bringing children to the show. :)

How many people can say they went to their first industrial show when they were 6?

Looking at hybrid vehicles and buying 50 CDs (and 1 DVD) at Rasputin.

(Fortunately, 40 of them were $1.50 CDs, and most of the others were used, so we didn't break the bank.)

    Let's try this again...

    1) Pick a song that you love, that you want me to forever associate with you.
    2) Upload it on yousendit.com or your domain.
    3) Comment with the link.
    4) Post this so you can make a mix that reminds you of the people that you love/like the most in the entire world.

My song to share with you is "Selig" by Helium Vola. What will you share with me?

I've been thinking about making a "music in my head" CD... anyone want one?
    spiderdust: (eye)
The VNV Nation concert is tonight.
    I've decided I can't go.
I thought I might be able to pull it off since my knee was a lot better, but I'm really worried I'll overdo it. Last night I tried to turn over in bed & I couldn't bend my knee because it hurt too badly.

To say that I'm bitterly disappointed would be an understatement.

ETA: Scratch that. I'm going. They have seating available. Yay!
    spiderdust: (oh no!)
The German medieval metal band In Extremo covers Sister of Mercy's "This Corrosion".

I've been listening to a good deal of Sleepbot Ambience Broadcast. They've been playing some interesting Christmas music lately, including some from a Scandinavian ensemble called Stämbandet. Their album ...och så kom jul (...and then came Christmas) sounds like a wonderful album for Solstice.

Absolutely lovely. Give them a listen.
